Leadership Lounge has been managed by a team of dedicated volunteers from various Queensland Public Service Departments for the benefit of all those who wish to participate in further leadership development. The Leadership Lounge Guiding Coalition (LLGC) develops themes to be covered at each Lounge, coaches presentation teams, and on occasion organises expert speakers who challenge participants on issues pertaining to the theme.

Different volunteers facilitate each Lounge so that they too can benefit from the exciting opportunities these workshops provide. Leadership Lounges are held on the second Tuesday of each month except January.
These monthly forums promote further leadership learning and networking opportunities. They aim to:

  • Build a leadership network that facilitates learning from other leadership graduates’ experiences;
  • Advance leadership learning internal and external of the Qld Public Service.
  • Develop linkages between agencies;  
  • Model leadership behaviours at each forum;
  • Share the passion of leadership by empowering people at all levels, to deliver better business outcomes for agencies

They are held on the 2nd Tuesday of each month between 09:30 - 1:00 unless otherwise advertised. Note that the locations might vary.
